Episode 46 - An Interview with Mark Blaxill, Author - On Vaccines and Autism

November 28, 2018

Issues-centric podcast based in Minnesota

Episode 46 - An Interview with Mark Blaxill, Author - On Vaccines and Autism

Max sits down with Mark Blaxill, an author, businessman, and researcher, to discuss his work in autism research - specifically, his work in drawing a link between vaccines and autism. This is a VERY controversial topic and we wanted to explore a counter-cultural view of the way we view western medicine, alarmingly-high autism rates, and a voice that's been marginalized within the medical community.

Mark Blaxill watched his daughter Michaela develop normally until shortly after her first birthday, when she was diagnosed with autism, in 1988. Mark has made the case in his research that there is a direct link between modern vaccination practices and schedules in several books:

The Age of Autism

Vaccines 2.0

Denial: How Refusing to Face the Facts about Our Autism Epidemic Hurts Children, Families, and Our Future

and his news website:

https://www.ageofautism.com/

Max fills in solo and explores these claims with Mark, his credentials and experience, and his evidence. They have a fair, evenhanded conversation, and explore multiple viewpoints - which includes several pieces of critical data from Mark, the historical success of vaccines, and the modern philosophical and political consequences of western medicine.

We hope you find this show challenging, engaging, and fair as we explore an inevitably controversial topic in multiple political circles.

Episode 43 - An Interview with Brandon Straka, Founder of the #WalkAway Campaign

Gay. An ex-liberal. A guy who cried after Hilary Clinton lost is now leading a mass movement of people in an exodus from a Democrat Party that's skewing further and further to the left. Identity politics, political violence, and media manipulation prompted Brandon Straka to leave liberals and create one of Social Media's most remarkable modern campaigns.

Brandon started the "#WalkAway Campaign," which allows for tens of thousands of users to submit their emotional testimonials about why they left the Democrat Party. Black, White, Gay, Straight, and everything in between - Straka's Facebook group has prompted remarkable, authentic, riveting and heart-wrenching stories of those who have been betrayed by a party that once spearheaded civil rights, freedom of speech, and equal opportunities.

Max (Kip is at Farmfest) and Brandon discuss the movement, its future, the scourge of identity politics and how to carry the momentum going forward. Brandon unveils that they have some BIG plans for the campaign coming soon and also gives us practical ways to save the world, where de-platforming and political violence is becoming the norm.

Episode 40 - KILL IT WITH FIRE - The Zombie of Net Neutrality - with Fred Campbell

With all the #SCOTUS news and current events, one piece of news that fell by the wayside was the attempted revival of so-called "Net Neutrality" - which passed the house and fell short in the House. There have been numerous attempts to revive this standard set in motion by Barack Obama's FCC. Kip and Max sat down with Fred Campbell, director at Tech Knowledge.

Fred has some serious credentials, by the way.

He's the Director of Tech Knowledge, a Senior Policy Advisor with Wireless 20/20, and an adjunct professor in the Space, Cyber, and Telecommunications Law LL.M program at the University of Nebraska College of Law.

He was formerly Executive Director of the Center for Boundless Innovation in Technology, a Fellow and Director of the Communications Liberty and Innovation Project at the Competitive Enterprise Institute, President and CEO of the Wireless Communications Association International, Chief of the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau at the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), and Wireless Legal Advisor to FCC Chairman Kevin Martin. He has also served as a judicial clerk for Nebraska Supreme Court Justice William M. Connolly and an Arabic linguist in the 101st Airborne Division of the United States Army.

He earned a Diploma in Modern Standard Arabic at the Defense Language Institute, a B.A. from Excelsior College, and a J.D., with high distinction, from the University of Nebraska College of Law.

We talk Net Neutrality, why doesn't it just DIE, how the market can better solve the problem of the internet, and what's next in the area of broadband and 5G connectability.
